ADDS TO THEIR PRODUCT OFFERINGS
Exclusive Boomerang Tube Distributor/Proprietary Grade S-55 Casing for the Kansas Oil & Gas Producer
Wichita, KS (January 11, 2011) - Sunrise Oilfield Supply announces a new proprietary grade casing now available exclusively through their company. This product is referenced as S-55 and was developed with the Kansas Oil & Gas producer in mind. Sunrise worked with a domestic metallurgical lab and mill to bring a proprietary grade of pipe specifically to the Kansas market. This product ensures quality in the producer's well along with the ability to realize savings versus buying API certified pipe.
"When you're spending 10-20% of your total costs to drill and complete a well on the product that transports revenue to the surface, is that the time to cut corners? It's not just an investment today, but for years to come. As your well matures and starts to give a return on investment that is not the time you want to deal with down hole integrity problems," commented Mike Reed, President and CEO of Sunrise Oilfield Supply.
Sunrise worked with a third party lab to ensure the new casing followed certain steel specifications and made sure there was no martensite present at the weld area (hardening at the seam area) therefore reducing the risk of corrosion or electrolysis attacking that critical portion of the pipe. They used chemistry specific steel made to Sunrise requirements, all domestic prime coils used for rolling, with a minimum yield of 55,000 psi, then had the pipe tested by an independent certified lab. After threading and applying API couplings, the material is hydrostatic tested to API recommended pressures for the appropriate size, weight and grade of pipe.
Reed said, "Drillers and producers should know what type of product they're putting in the ground. Our lab results show the superiority of this propriety grade product versus other products available throughout the state." Reed encourages drillers and producers to review the available lab results from the new S-55 product and compare it to the pipe they currently use.
Additionally, Sunrise Oilfield Supply announces an "exclusive to Kansas" relationship with Boomerang Tube. Boomerang Tube is an API Certified manufacturer of tubular goods and line pipe products for the oilfield industry. Their mill is located in Liberty, Texas. They ensure state-of-the-art inspection and testing as well as 3rd party inspection for Heat Treating. Boomerang's warranty is the best in the business and provides the insurance level of comfort oil and gas producers will appreciate when working with an API certified product.
The new S-55 proprietary grade and Boomerang Tube products are now available at any Sunrise location.
